This Week's Announcements:

There are two service opportunities for the homeless this week:

This Sunday before church, our Interfaith Shelter guests are moving in. We will have several families living in the Life Center for the next two weeks as they work to escape homelessness. There are a bunch of kids ranging in age from 2 months to 12 years, and if you would like to play with kids or help with homework, that would be great!

If you are available to help with the kids in the evenings, contact Susie Dhus at susied@ljpres.org

We’re also serving at Ladle Fellowship. Hunger doesn't take holidays. This year, New Year's Eve is the 5th Sunday of the month, and we're heading down to First Presbyterian Church, Downtown to serve a hot meal to the homeless guests. We'll be back by 4:00pm, in plenty of time to celebrate the new year with a full heart, and end 2017 with a wonderful feeling.

Meet at the fountain in the Courtyard before 12:00pm to carpool, or at First Pres. Downtown at 1:00pm. It is a wonderful and easy local mission trip. Find details at reception. Please bring clothes for Ladle to distribute.

End of Year giving is an important part of La Jolla Pres making our budgeted income needs. This year we are running behind in giving, and could use your help in closing that gap. There are several ways to bless the church at this time of year, along with possible tax benefits to you. For more information, contact Daryl Bryant, Pastor of Administration at 858-729-5552 or darylb@ljpres.org. Thank you.
