This Week's Announcements:

While we’re talking about The Story, growth groups and book clubs have started, but you can still sign up for a group by emailing Brooke Phelps at brookep@ljpres.org, or you can start a group with your friends or family. The Story books are available online, and the handouts are at ljpres.org/thestory. If you like podcasts, the audio version of The Story is excellent. We highly recommend it. It can be downloaded from Audible.com

Cynthia Blase is leading a women’s Bible study following The Story on Wednesday mornings from 9:15-10:45am, in room LC3. This Bible Study for women of all ages, and childcare will be provided with an RSVP. If you enjoy this podcast, we are also recording Cynthia’s Bible study, and adding it to the Podcast channel. Tune in to Cynthia’s amazing teaching.
Rev. Stan Beard is also teaching a class based on The Story. Stan’s class is called, “The Rest Of The Story” and meets on Wednesdays from 11am to noon in Fellowship Hall. Presented by Growing Together in Faith, it’s an opportunity to take a second look at that week’s chapter of The Story, with Biblical teaching from Rev. Stan Beard. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Stan Beard at stanb@ljpres.org

Rev. Scott Mitchell is teaching a class titled, “Mental Health Awareness, Hope In Christ”. This 4-week series will take place on the Sundays of October 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th in Life Center Room 3 from 8:45-10 am. These classes will equip us with both the clinical and faith tools by which to better understand and handle the variety of mental health issues our families and culture wrestle with. Ultimately, we claim Christ’s hope for the journey! For more information please contact Pastor Scott at scottm@ljpres.org.

Our 2nd Annual Young Artists Showcase concert will be October 15th at 4pm. The concert is co-sponsored by the Musical Merit Foundation and features three exceptional young musicians. This free concert will be a blessing to your whole family.

Our 4th annual harvest festival is coming up November 5th at 11:00am. We will have just the 8:45 and 10:00 church services that day so we may all enjoy the Festival and show our Community how much we appreciate them. Admission is free, you can register for the 3 on 3 basketball tournament and purchase children’s unlimited activity wristband for just $10 on our website at ljpres.org/harvest.
