The SunHouse Pancake Breakfast is this morning. The pancake breakfast is a fund raiser for the youth mission trip. If you missed the pancakes, you can still donate at SunHouseOnline.com. Ash Wednesday is Wednesday, March 1st. We will be having an Ash Wednesday service at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Start Lent together with one of the most moving services of the year. You can also pick up a Lenten Devotional at church or online. Rev. Stan Beard has written a 40 day Lenten devotional, it’s a daily reading and reflection to help guide you closer to Christ and we move toward Easter. Printed devotionals are available in the church office, or there are text and online versions available at ljpres.org.
Interfaith Shelter is coming up from Saturday, March 11th to March 25th and we need people who are willing to spend a night with our guests. Last week Paul talked about Interfaith during the sermon, and if you are looking for a place to serve, this is a great choice. Sign-up information is available online at ljpres.org. Do you need prayer for physical or emotional healing? We are holding a Prayer and Healing Service on Saturday, March 4th from 10am to noon in Fellowship Hall. Pastor Scott Mitchell will lead the congregation in a time of prayer and healing for the body and mind. Members of our prayer team will be available for individual prayer at the Service.
The Married Couples Retreat is coming up April 28th to 30th, and will be held at the Lakehouse Resort in San Marcos! Sign up this Sunday in the Courtyard. Guest speakers will be Casey and Meygan Caston founders of Marriage 365 Ministries. The cost is $460, and covers 2 nights of lodging, Friday dinner and Sunday brunch.
