In this episode of Meet Houston Missions and the Simmons and Fletcher local missions podcast, we meet Megan Langham, the founder and president of Society Prosper. Society Prosper is a Katy, Texas mission, founded in 2020 for the purpose of breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
Society Prosper helps to provide funding and guidance so that children who are survivors of child abuse and neglect can get qualified therapy that enables them to cope with the abuse and overcome its effects. Society Prosper focuses on helping survivors break the cycle of child abuse. Society Prosper has a number of volunteer opportunities at their annual fundraisers, as well as their planning committees. They are in need of volunteers and ambassadors in order to get the word out about the organization and its goals. Some of their fundraising events that help raise money to go towards scholarships to help children get therapy include their Healing in Bloom fashion show and their Casino Night fundraisers.
