Stories Bigger Than Texas: The Alamo Podcast
Episode 108: The Alamo Cenotaph Restoration

The Spirit of Sacrifice, commonly known as the Alamo Cenotaph, has stood proud and tall for 85 years. Built in memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives in the Battle of the Alamo, time had taken its toll on the marble monument.

We reveal the painstaking efforts over the past year to restore the Cenotaph in place, the ceremony this week to rededicate the monument, and the improvements made to ensure it continues to stand, for generations to come. Featuring the Alamo's Head Conservator Pam Jary Rosser and the Alamo's Senior Curator, Historian, & Lecturer Ernesto Rodriguez.
