Description

Gorgeous listeners, we have such a treat for you today…

None other than Actress, Producer & all-round leading light, Bessie Carter…

You might know Bessie as the red-haired Prudence Featherington from hit Netflix show, Bridgerton; from her recent performance in the National Theatre’s Dear Octopus, and forthcoming ITV Series “A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story”.

And - no bias - you absolutely MUST see her in her in new 6-part series Outrageous, in which she plays Lead Nancy Mitford. Released next year, Outrageous explores the wild and true story of the Mitford sisters; an experience Carter describes as transformative, both personally and professionally.

I know Bess as a dear friend, client and, once upon a time, fellow attendee of Francis Holland School for Girls. And, spoilers my loves - in our episode, we dive head-first into that time together, the challenging legacies of an all-girls school primed for perfectionism, and what it takes to truly move through & beyond your history into an outrageously-fulfilled life.

Bessie discusses her relationship with self, the challenge and deep joy of being a Creative, her struggles with alcohol - and how the combination of emotional healing, embodiment and sobriety utterly transported her life. She guides us through how to truly step into the LEAD ROLE, both in your life and your career. It’s a stunning episode, full of laughter, joy and a salty appreciation of the hardest moments we move through. I can’t wait for you to listen.

A little note that Bessie will be back with us just ahead of Christmas, for a special episode about the Creative journey - and how you can liberate yourself to deepest expression, through pen or performance.
