Recalling the first time someone suggested I try meditation, I can safely say it was certainly an uncomfortable idea and overall topic for me. I really wondered how slowing down would seriously speed up my world in the best way, it sounded counterintuitive to me.
I gave it a shot, I had nothing to lose except the time it took to sit and be still for a short 5 minutes. It was clunky and cumbersome to just breathe and be quiet even for a short time but what happened after it was something pretty cool: My brain felt more clear, my choices and actions in my work later that day felt more crisp, and my overall sense of wellness felt at ease.
This week, Dixi and I took on different styles of meditation to test the theory of well-being and how they can have a positive effect on our bodies and souls…Ready? Set? Center!
