According to Gurumahan’s 1999 discourse, the Egyptian pyramid and the Indian temple rajagopuram are parallel sacred geometries of the same inner science!
About 4,500 years ago, people built the pyramids in Egypt using knowledge and arts taken from here, following a specific design. The word “pyramid” means light established at the center. Just as God resides in the sanctum of our temples, the pyramid structure attracts subtle cosmic energy through its form and stabilizes it at the center. For humanity and all living beings to live well, divine grace is essential. Our ancestors believed that people could receive this grace through idols, so they created these holy structures. A house is called a dwelling, but an idol is called a special dwelling. Energy enters through the tower (Rajagopuram), settles in the idol, and when people worship it, they receive divine grace. Based on this principle, Egyptians built pyramids in a cone-like shape. They worshipped the Sun as God and called him “Ra.” In our tradition, we call the Sun Aditya or Bhaskara. Just as we worshipped the Sun, Egyptians also worshipped the Sun. They drew solar energy through the pyramid’s center and placed a tomb at the core. Even today, we see the tomb of Bogar in Palani and the tomb of Gorakkar in Tirupati. In Tamil Nadu, many important temples contain the tombs of Siddhars. Temples took form around these Siddhar tombs. Similarly, in the Nile civilization, people built pyramids to receive divine grace. Later, due to Islamic invasions and formless worship practices, the true significance of these structures was not revealed. People sold the objects placed in the tombs. Later visitors came only to take the treasures, not to receive divine grace. Muhamad Ghazni invaded the Somnath temple seventeen times only to loot its wealth. In the same way, people dug into pyramids only for hidden treasures and ignored the inner energy. They forgot the power within. Now, those ancient truths are slowly re-emerging. On a recent Chitra Pournami day, newspapers reported that light energies from the pyramids benefit humanity and world peace, and that deep meditation there brings major transformation. Experiments show that placing pyramid-shaped objects near the head reduces headaches, and placing them near the navel reduces stomach pain. These are now being sold commercially. Today, even temples have become commercial spaces. But originally, all these structures were created to attract cosmic energy so humanity could live well. That is why pyramid-like mounds and tombs still exist. The invisible energy continues to fill these spaces.
