A tunnel, by definition, has two openings. That is not vague optimism. It’s structure. If you are in a tunnel, there is an exit, even if you cannot see it at this time. What creates suffering is not the darkness itself. It’s the story that the darkness is permanent.
You may not know the way. But there is a way. Stay present long enough, and it will begin to show itself.
