Description

This episode is for the people-pleasers, or as Jenny refers to herself, the recovering people-pleasers.

We start by talking about a song called "Please Yourself" by Ron Gallo, specifically about the lyrics: "Don't want to be like the asphalt on the street, spend my whole life letting everybody walk over me". We'd love to know what you think about those lyrics too, what do they bring up for you? Send us a message or put a comment on our socials.

We then went on to talk about the 4A method to help with being a people-pleaser in recovery; top tips for navigating the conflict between wanting to be accepted and deciding not to be a doormat; examples of when we've taken people-pleasing too far; times we've done something just because we thought we should; and the recovery practise that is our "favouritest".
