In this week’s episode of Grace Nation Church, we continued our powerful series, “What Lies Beneath,” diving deep into the difference between gifts and fruit. 🌟
We explored how easy it can be to get caught up in the surface—our talents, appearances, and gifts—while neglecting the deeper, more important fruit of character and integrity that truly reflects Christ. Galatians 6:8 (NLT) challenges us to live for the Spirit, reminding us that those who do will harvest everlasting life.
In a world where gifts are often praised more than character, Jesus calls us to examine what lies beneath the surface: the fruit we bear. As Matthew 7:16-20 (NLT) teaches, “A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit.” 🌳
We also talked about how gifts can sometimes distract us from our true calling—to die to self and live for Christ. The real test is in the fruit we produce, including love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and more. 🙌🏾
