“Work-life balance does not apply to Hospitality.”
This is a common saying among the industry.
During his days working with a celebrity chef in Australia, Mauricio was working 80 hours a week. He approached the head chef to ask when his hours would be back to the normal schedule, only to be answered: “Mauricio, where would you possibly be having more fun than here with the boys?”
Truth is, for hospitality professionals, work-life balance is measured differently.
