Description

Kidney cancer, primarily renal cell carcinoma (RCC), arises from abnormal cell growth in the kidneys, forming tumours that can invade surrounding tissues and metastasize to other organs. Symptoms often include blood in urine, flank pain, and high blood pressure, but they may not appear until later stages. Determinants include older age, obesity, smoking, and high blood pressure. Treatment methods vary based on the cancer's stage and may include surgery, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
