Healing Minds, Empowering Lives: Amber Sperling Social Work and Psychotherapy Services offers specialized psychotherapy for women, perinatal mental health and trauma. We help you to feel heard and reduce your distress about postpartum anxiety /mood struggles, process birth trauma or other events from your life that impact you day to day. As Registered Social Workers and Psychotherapists we believe in meeting clients where they are at - we have in person sessions in office in Barrie, in nature across Simcoe County and also virtually to anyone in Ontario. Our sessions are covered by most benefits packages and we offer direct billing to reduce financial burden, as well as pay-what-you-can therapy provided by our supervised interns.
Our team has advanced training to offer treatment through: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Mindfulness, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) and other modalities. We also believe in the importance and power of community - Amber is co-chair of the Perinatal Mental Health Task Force for our region and is a member of the RVH Foundation Cabinet, advocating for a new NICU for Barrie.
