A Prayer for When Faith Feels Like Something to Carry
Loving God,
Sometimes when we hear the word “sacrifice,”
we imagine something heavy—
something difficult to carry
or hard to give.
And at times,
we approach our lives with you
in that same way.
But you show us something different.
You invite us
to act justly,
to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with you.
Help us treat each other right,
to extend grace freely,
and to remain grounded in humility and faith.
And as we do,
help us recognize
that we are already participating
in what is taking shape.
Amen.
