Loving God,
When people are against us,
help us not be consumed by anger, fear, resentment, or disappointment.
Free us from the cycle of revenge, retaliation, and retribution.
Let our lives not be defined by who we oppose or by who opposes us.
Instead, help us focus on who we are called to be and what we are called to do.
Help us make the world a better place,
and be a blessing to those we meet.
Amen.
