A Prayer for When the Path We Chose Gets Hard
Loving God,
Sometimes we find ourselves walking through things
we would not have chosen on their own—
and yet, we know they are part of what we’ve already said yes to.
Not forced.
Not without question.
But still we’ve chosen.
And so we ask—
meet us here,
within the very place
we would rather not be.
Give us the strength to keep walking,
to not turn away—
but to remain present
to what is being asked of us.
And when the path feels heavy,
or uncertain,
or more than we would have chosen—
teach us to entrust ourselves to you
as we continue through.
Amen.
