On the latest episode of the The Audio Diaries we are blessed with Embodiment Facilitator, Yoga Teacher & Speaker Ashley Allard. I've had the pleasure of working with Ashley intimately inside of my private mentorship. On this episode we talk about the power of somatic exploration and how a 'breakthrough' that Ashley had stripped her to the bones of her soul & invited her to start fresh with a stronger foundation than ever.
A lot of the work Ashely and I did together was exploring her pain and processing it with poetry, she is a beautiful writer and shared a poem with us at the end of our conversation together.

Read Ashleys poem below;
It came quick, the unraveling.
With the tug of singular thread.
the whole sweater frayed from her body
Frozen. she stood, in front of the crowded room, as the fibers gave way to the floor and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
so she let it be.
and when it was through she remained.
exposed.
bare.
open.
and free.
from the threads that once were home.
the weavings that once felt safe.
bare.
open.
and free.
from their knots that kept her small. their yarn that kept her constrained.
open.
free.
scared.
with nothing left.
nothing there to confine her.
barren in the most beautiful way.
free.
uninhibited.
vulnerable.
and knowing.
free.
to weave something bigger.
to strand herself back together stronger.
free.
and so she stepped over of the mess of a pile that lay at her feet.
walked into the abyss of the crowd ready to leave it all behind.
ready. so ready. and FREE.
