Welcome back to The Audio Diaries! It's been a while, but I'm excited to dive deep again. Last week, I dropped a meditation, and I've been busy exploring myself and serving my community. This podcast is my space to express my somatic experiences when I feel they can benefit you all.
In this episode, I reflect on my third ayahuasca ceremony, held in the beautiful Topanga Canyon with a mentor and a wonderful group. The experience brought up a lot of introspection, particularly around my relationships and roles as a wife, daughter, and granddaughter. The ceremony was intense, helping me release a lot of doubt, fear, and shame. It was a profound and embodied way to evaluate my behavior and relationships.
Post-ceremony, the real work began. I've always been a fighter and hustler, but now I'm learning to be gentle and compassionate with myself. This episode delves into my journey of softening and self-compassion.
I also share insights from a recent somatic, erotic alchemy practice with a mentor. Despite initial resistance, these sessions have been revealing. My work and art ask a crucial question: What would it take to come into a relationship with all of you? This episode explores the hidden parts of ourselves and the process of bringing them into the light.
A significant part of this episode focuses on my relationship with my husband. Despite a beautiful, loving relationship, I realized there are still parts of me that hesitate to fully receive his love. This resistance ties back to childhood experiences and the trauma of fearing loss. I share a poem that emerged from these reflections and invite you to ponder what it would take to be fully seen and to embrace all parts of yourself.
I conclude with a short somatic practice. Place your hands on your thighs, feel the sensation, and take deep breaths. The invitation is to be with the sensation without manipulating it, allowing your body to guide you.
