Welcome back to The Audio Diaries. In today’s episode, we dive into the importance of slowing down, being present, and intentionally creating a life that feels aligned and fulfilling. As we near the end of the 30-day poetry challenge, I share a new poem inspired by personal reflections, conversations, and small yet meaningful moments throughout the day.
This episode explores how daily poetry has transformed my perspective and how slowing down through meditation and presence can change the way we experience time. I reflect on the balance between setting boundaries and showing up for others while staying true to yourself. We also discuss the connection between your nervous system, your words, and your actions, and why it’s important to align your inner and outer worlds.
I’ll read you a poem I wrote, titled “Create,” which was inspired by moments of peace, frustration, and connection in my own life. This poem is a love letter to living intentionally, creating joy from the small things, and making space for a life you don’t feel the need to escape. Toward the end, I leave you with a powerful question to reflect on: What would your life look like if you intentionally crafted a life that felt deeply aligned and fulfilling?
There’s also some exciting news to share. In January, the next round of Pain, Poems, and Process begins. This is a two-month somatic and poetic healing journey designed to help you find your voice and explore transformation through creativity. If this resonates, join the waitlist to stay updated. Our next monthly poetry circle is coming up on December 8 at 10 AM PST, where we’ll gather for reflection and connection. For facilitators looking to deepen their skills, the Advanced Breathwork Training I’m co-hosting with Ava Johanna is a six-month immersive program with retreats in California and Costa Rica.
I’d love to hear your thoughts or reflections on this episode. Feel free to send me a message on Instagram, and if you’re inspired by today’s conversation, share this episode with someone who might need it. Next week, Mary will join me to wrap up the 30-day poetry challenge and reflect on what we’ve learned. Until then, take care, and remember: small intentional steps can shift everything.
With love,
Lexi Rodriguez
