Welcome to the Heart Place Hospital Podcast , where we explore the art of caring for the mind, body, and soul. I’m your host, Jacqui O’Connor, and today I’m joined by the inspiring Australian health journalist, author, and speaker, Casey Beros.

Casey is an award-winning journalist and medical MC who’s spent more than 15 years asking some of Australia’s brightest minds how we can all live happier, healthier lives. She’s the bestselling author of The ‘Bad’ Girl’s Guide to Better and has appeared on ABC’s Tonic and Channel 10’s Everyday Health and Well Traveller.

With her trademark honesty and humour, Casey has a remarkable ability to turn complex science into simple, practical strategies that empower us to take charge of our wellbeing. Her work and her heart were reshaped by her time caring for her beloved dad, which led her to found Next of Kin, an initiative helping patients, practitioners, and carers to better support themselves and the people they love.

A proud Aussie, mum to two little girls, pop-song lyric queen, and self-proclaimed parallel parking champion, Casey brings realness, warmth, and wisdom to every conversation.

Today, we’ll be exploring what it truly means to live well, to learn from what goes wrong, and to reconnect with the heart of health and humanity, together, across the ditch.
