Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we kick off week 2 of Advent. Today is our 6th prayer and we are reading out of Matthew 2:10 which says "When they saw the star, they were overjoyed."
"Imagine hundreds of years. Generation after generation. Living by the law. Waiting for God to come, and then one night a star appears. When the people saw the star, they were overjoyed. They knew their king had come. He was a baby. He was 33 years away from sacrificing His life, but they were still over joyed.
I am here to remind you. You may have dreams, God dreams and maybe they haven’t come to fruition, but God sends us a star so that we may have hope. So look for the stars in your life, they are all around. It might take 33 years for you to see the full picture of this God-dream, but your hope should be in Jesus the whole way through.
Be overjoyed. Put your Hope in Him!"
