Description

This week, Debi was joined by Yonni Simion, a local business owner.

Yonni grew up under Communism behind the Iron Curtain in Romania, before the fall of the Soviet Union.  Yonni and Debi talk about what life was like under Communism where the government controls literally every aspect of life including how much money you make, how much food you have, and whether or not you are allowed to go to church.

Yonni talks about ultimately sacrificing his position, his career, all of his possessions, and even unexpectedly losing his wife and young daughter in order to pursue freedom in America as a political refugee. Yonni and Debi talk about the unique opportunities found only in America to begin with absolutely nothing and be able to work your way up to owning a business and giving back to others.

They also discuss the issue of young people in America who are fascinated with the idea of Communism and Marxism without fully understanding how evil il truly it is.
