This week on Adventures of Des and Cort, our office got an unexpected visitor... and let's just say Des handled it exactly how you'd expect someone with a full-blown mouse phobia would. 🐭😳
Meanwhile, Cort was immediately concerned about the mouse's family. Did he have a wife? Tiny mouse babies? Should we have held a funeral?
Then the internet decided to make things worse with those viral videos of mice showing up in Alani cans. We have questions. We have concerns. And Des would now like to respectfully decline every canned drink for the foreseeable future. Absolutely not. 🤢🥤
Our Hot Flashes this week are extra spicy.
Cort's? Having to work. She wants a job... she just doesn't want to have to have a job. Honestly, if someone wants to sponsor two middle-aged women to yap into microphones every week, we'd be happy to discuss.
Des's? Adult children saying things like, "Must be nice to make your own schedule," or "Must be nice to have nice things." Sweet children... we've been building this life for 20+ years more than you. We didn't wake up like this. We survived dial-up internet, low-rise jeans and lots of time paying our dues. Your time is coming. 😂
Then we discuss the viral wedding video where the groom sings to his bride while she's standing at the end of the aisle waiting to walk down. A sweet gesture? Maybe. Our worst nightmare? Absolutely. We both suffered secondhand embarrassment so severe we nearly needed medical attention. Why are we physically incapable of watching things like that without wanting to crawl under a table?
Throw in our usual side quests, random opinions, unnecessary tangents and a suspicious amount of laughing and you've got another classic episode.
