Description

At Christmas, we celebrate more than a moment in history—we celebrate a miracle that changes everyday life. In “The Miracle of God With Us,” we explore how our deepest longings for hope, peace, joy, love, and belonging were never meant to be rare or unreachable, but part of God’s design for life with Him. Through Matthew 1 and Isaiah 9, we see Jesus not only as Savior, but as Immanuel—God with us—revealing both His mission and His nature. This message invites us to stop striving for what we cannot find on our own and instead receive the greatest gift of all: Heaven coming to earth so that Heaven can live in us.

Discussion Questions:
1. What was your favorite Christmas gift growing up—and why do you think it meant so much to you at the time?
2. Where do you see yourself currently searching for something—peace, meaning, belonging, healing, or direction—in this season of life?
3. Matthew calls Jesus “Immanuel—God with us,” and Isaiah describes Him as Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Which of these names do you find hardest to believe or experience personally—and why?
4. What would it look like for “Heaven to live in you” this week—not just as a belief, but as a way of living? Where do you think God wants to be more with you right now?
