All three letters were written by Sweetie, and she notes both what is happening with her and Lew living in Hutchinson, Kansas, but also she advises her sister, Jeanne, on what to do with regards to Jeanne's relationship with a man named Bill. Jeanne is considering marrying Bill and seeks Sweetie's advice. Additionally, we learn a little more about Hutchinson, Kansas and the salt mining that historically occurred there and which continues to this day.
