Description

Welcome to the Love Sweetie Podcast!  This is the season premiere episode of Season 3!  In this episode, Sweetie and her family move in summer 1951 to Doylestown, Pennsylvania, having taken an opportunity to live in a bigger house that will help them with their growing antiques business.  That being said, the 90-year old woman who had previously lived there, Miss Darst, is to live with their family as a boarder until she passes away, per the arrangement with the seller (Miss Darst's nephew, Brower Murphy).

In this episode we learn about Sweetie's new home, Miss Darst and her family, and some basic information about Doylestown, Pennsylvania in the 1950's.

This is a new part of Sweetie's journey, so this is a recommended episode to start listening to the podcast if you haven't listened in already.  Check out the website at www.lovesweetiepodcast.com for a family tree, overall timeline of her story, and information on the previous episodes to catch up as you are able to - there is something in Sweetie's story for everyone!

The Love Sweetie Podcast is a unique historical project that features real letters from Kathryn Frances Demaree Graham a.k.a. "Sweetie" that were written during her lifetime.  These authentic letters are narrated and commented on by the hosts of the show (who give context on what is being discussed).

It should also be noted that the vernacular in the letters, as disclaimed at the beginning of every episode, are part of the real historic text from 1951, and do not reflect the views of anyone associated with the Podcast, including the creator and the hosts.
