The second letter is from Chester Demaree, M.D., who writes to his son, Robert "Bob" Demaree who is at the front in the Pacific Theater in World War II in the Guadalcanal Campaign, providing updates from his home in Lacona, Iowa and requesting of his son more updates of wartime activities.
