Description

In this episode, we explore the power of ceremony — not the store-bought kind of “celebration” that Target and Hallmark roll out, but the soul-nourishing rituals women have always created to mark change, connect, and carry each other through the darker months.

You’ll hear about:

👉 Note of clarity: In this episode, I mention “Mabon.” Mabon is a modern Pagan name for the Autumn Equinox, first popularized in the 1970s and inspired by a Welsh mythic figure. The ancient Irish Celts are more directly tied to Samhain (Oct 31–Nov 1), which marked the end of harvest and the beginning of the dark season, the festival we now know as Halloween. Think of Samhain as the deep Celtic root, and Mabon/Alban Elfed as a modern reclamation of equinox ritual.

Takeaways: Ceremony is yours to reclaim. Build an altar with what feels meaningful, host a feast on your own terms, or light a candle each morning with intention. Don’t wait for consumer culture to tell you what’s worth celebrating; instead, create your own rhythms, your own seasons, your own ceremonies.
