This week we interview a true legend of the sport, Scott McGrory. The boys discuss commentary and get Scott's review on who was the better commentator out of Jonny & Lewis alongside the perils of commentary. Scott himself was Olympic Madison Champion as a rider, top end coach and renowned commentator. We discuss competing at his first Olympic Games at 18 years old, non-selection for Barcelona 1992 & Atlanta 1996 before finally winning Gold in Sydney 2000. Scott's Olympic odyssey is one laced with tragedy however, losing his baby son Alexander 10 weeks before Sydney. We hear about his remarkable journey and coming back from the deepest of grief to win and the transition out of sport.
Scott's journey is one of the most powerful we've ever experienced in track cycling and we hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed talking with Scott.
