We were honored to have leading authors Bradley Schurman and Kerry Hannon join us for a discussion of their books. Book publicist Robert Newman provided book promotion tips to all authors in our field. Our own Debbie Howard spoke about her Caregiving Crisis book.
Bradley Schurman gave some insights from his “The Super Age Decoding Our Destiny” emphasizing the importance of inclusive product design and the success of companies like Apple and Peloton in catering to older consumers. Bradley is the guy journalists want to get a quote from when they reference American demographics. Thank you Bradley for also joining us for our Future of Work Nursing Shortage show on 11-17-22.
Kerry Hannon discussed the rise of remote work, career transitions, and entrepreneurship among older workers, noting the advantages they bring, such as management experience and networks. In 2022 her latest book was “In Control at 50+; How to Succeed in the New World of Work”. Her latest is “Retirement Bites: A Gen X Guide to Securing Your Financial Future” releasing September 2025.
Debbie Howard addressed the caregiving crisis, noting that 30% of the workforce is caring for aging loved ones, and stressed the need for companies to support caregivers.
Bob Newman advised on promoting books through education, information, and entertainment, emphasizing passion and practicality.
