Four steps to cultivating hope during times of heartbreak
(I took myself through these when I heard the presidential election results and literally started crying again on the ig live that now became this episode🤣)
1. Feel your feelings. Let yourself snot cry. Scream into a pillow , give yourself full permission to feel all the rang of emotions today
2. Ask your inner child what they need from you to feel safe, like you’ve got them, regardless of the outside world. Maybe it’s allowing yourself to binge watch your favorite tv show. Maybe it’s writing yourself a letter
3. Remind yourself of times in the past where you or society has overcome a dark time in the past and in da t it was the wake up call for healing. How can you be the catalyst and take action on a grassroots level to create the change you want to see?
4. Take action ⚡️⚡️ as my friend @amandangocnguyen wrote in her post today “when you have anxiety, instead of forcing relaxation, take action.” What can you do to create more love and unity in your life, with your friends, in your neighborhood?
