In this episode I speak with Steve Coleman- NSW RSPCA CEO
We talk about where he started within the organisation, and the long journey to get to the position of CEO (which he has been in now for almost two decades).
Steve shares some of the challenges associated with the nature of the work that is carried out within the RSPCA, and how the organisation supports their staff, particularly those working out in the field.
We discuss burnout in the industry, how he approaches leadership- an essential part of his role as CEO, and his passion for the work that the RSPCA do- A passion that has remained strong for over 30 years.
Steve also presents a very interesting perspective on aerial culling of the Brumbies in Kosciusko National Park, the closure of the RSPCA Orange Branch, and the challenges of public perception for the work that they do within the RSPCA.
Enjoy this interesting and informative episode!
