In Philippians 3:17–21, Paul urges believers to follow faithful examples and live with eternity in view. He contrasts those who walk as enemies of the cross—whose lives are marked by self-indulgence, misplaced glory, and earthly obsession—with those who belong to Christ and await His return. With pastoral concern and even tears, Paul warns of the danger of living for this world. But he lifts our eyes to a greater reality: our citizenship is in heaven. As followers of Jesus, we are not defined by the values of this passing age but by the hope of transformation and glory. One day, our Savior will return and, by His sovereign power, make our lowly bodies like His glorious body. Until then, we are called to walk in faithful obedience, fixing our gaze on Christ and those who model His life well.
