I’ve heard this term a couple times recently and was inspired to try it. 

It really is so freeing and takes me back to the 1980s when you could “take your phone off the hook” when you wanted to be present with family or wanted to rest. 

We didn’t used to be so available and reachable and reactive all the time. 

Delaying the time you pick up your phone until after outdoor and morning routine time can reset your whole day for a more Proactive and Self Directed schedule instead of starting the day in Reactive mode. 

Not taking your phone off the charger for a whole weekend day creates a whole ‘nother level of mindfulness on just how often you feel compelled to pick it up and handle admin and work tasks instead of truly having a DAY OF REST and introspection. 

I challenge you to do a Phone Fast! 

How long will you try? 

And how often? 

How frequently do you want to implement it? 

I’m thinking I’d like to do at least 1 Sunday a month then probably just do every Sunday. 

That feels so expansive for me!
