2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Scripture tells us that God sees what we do, and He is pleased when we give out a sincere desire to help someone…and not to do it so that people will compliment us and flatter us. With giving, it’s not about you!
