What I did not expect was betrayal. Friendship betrayal. The kind that makes you question why you even bother having friends in the first place.
Because on the day I was supposed to be celebrated, the people who were supposed to show up had other plans. And by "other plans," I mean they showed up in ways that will make you laugh first, then shake your head, then send this episode to your own friends as a warning.
This episode is for everyone who has ever organised something for themselves, trusted the wrong people with it, and ended up more exhausted than celebrated. If you have ever smiled through a birthday while dying inside, you will feel every single minute of this one.
Because Lagos does not care that it is your birthday. And apparently, neither do some people.
