When we talk about Faith and try to define it, we often do it in philosophical terms which is really counter productive. In his book, "The Pursuit of God" A.W. Tozer says that Faith is not a philosophical thing, but a thing of action. The Bible tells us that Faith is a gift from God as He is calling us from death in sin to life in Jesus and that Faith prompts us to believe in Him.
