Happy hump day Whackers and welcome back! We've got a jam packed episode for you today. First, we're yapping about new business ventures, giant wolf spiders, and cleaning the dust from your vents and then it's on to Hollis's review of Dancing with the Stars as a first time viewer. Next up, we're talking fall decorations and the official start of spooky season which leads us into a discussion about how to not steal joy from ourselves or others and why it's important to lean into whatever makes you happy. Even if that means decorating for fall on September first. You do you, boo! Next, we're bringing you some insights on toaster behavior, boomer behavior, and in honor of spooky season some thoughts on recent horror movie debuts. (No spoilers) Then we're discussing some of the controversy surrounding the Riyadh Comedy Festival and whether or not we agree. Per usual we're sticking to our true form not knowing exactly where we land and as always we'd love to hear your thoughts! Finally, we're getting into the weeds! This week's topic is a pop culture archives cult classic film that became a staple for our generation and inspired a national holiday. You probably guessed it from the title of this episode...Empire Records! We've got some facts about the movie and then we're diving into the characters and themes to bring you some insights into the undertones of a film that was quite frankly ahead of it's time in the way it presents societal and mental health issues young people face. As always we wrap it up with gripes about our own insecurities and rotten fruit and grapes to ideal locations and home cooking. See you in the weeds!
