ASBL 45 Anna Wilding, Candidate for Congress, California District 32

We discussed Democrat Anna Wilding’s reasons for running, her background and experience, and her knowledge of and enthusiasm for women’s issues, particularly our www.dontcheatwomen.com project, to help women-owned small businesses get a fair share of the federal contract dollars that are supposed to go to America’s small businesses.

“I’m running because all Americans and my district deserve leadership they can count on, leadership that can bring expertise to the table. One of the big challenges that we have is that there are so many lawyers and accountants in Congress rather than people who can build things, make things, fix things and resolve things.”

“There is a place for lawyers. I hire them, for thirty years, in entertainment, philanthropy, you name it. But I’ve yet to meet one with the vision to be a great business leader or person to lead people through massive crises. They’re very good for writing the paperwork for what’s needed rather than actually doing and fixing things on the ground.”

“That’s very evident in the [Los Angeles] fire zones in my district that have been destroyed by the [fires earlier this year]. It’s like they’re trying to litigate their way out of a crisis rather than dealing with the planning issues, fire management issues, the water issues and everything that needs to be dealt with. It’s really not how crisis zones work. I’ve worked extensively in crisis zones. And it really takes doers.”

“Then we have the rest of the district which has totally different needs and wants and concerns and issues … the cost of living, education, small business [survival and] healthcare.”

From www.wildingforcalifornia.com:

“The 32nd district is Malibu, Topanga Canyon, Bel Air, Simi Valley, part of Studio City, northern part of Beverly Hills, Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, Bell Canyon, Beverly Glen, Brentwood, Canoga Park, Chatsworth, Encino, North Hills, Northridge, Pacific Palisades, Reseda, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Tarzana, Topanga, West Hills, Winnetka, and Woodland Hills.”

“I am a proud American citizen and immigrant.I bring fresh ideas and a deep-rooted understanding of both America and the world. From the boardroom to small and large businesses, to the inner press corps inside the White House under both administrations, I’ve spent my life holding people and institutions to account fighting for what’s right and creating real change.”

“I’ve led through challenge and transition, fixed what isn’t working, and built progress where others saw obstacles. Now, I’m putting that experience to work for Californians tackling our state’s sky-high cost of living, addressing gender, racial, and economic injustices, and rebuilding our cherished communities destroyed in fires with integrity and compassion. It’s time to lead with purpose, expand opportunity, restore fairness, and bring both smarts and empathy back to leadership just in time for an incredible Olympics ahead and a brighter future for all.”
