Description

Seven churches, one purpose, and a campus built to handle the vision—this week we pull back the curtain on our Disciple Now weekend at Longview Heights and the heart behind every decision. We talk through how shared space, shared costs, and shared leadership open the door for better worship, smarter logistics, and more time for students to build real, faith-shaping relationships. With Ignite leading worship and Jason Curry from Finish Empty bringing seasoned, gospel-centered preaching, we’re setting the stage for students to hear truth clearly and respond with courage.

We break down the flow that makes Disciple Now work: big moments that lift our eyes to Jesus and small circles that help the Word sink in. Grade-based groups create safe places to ask hard questions, while conference-style breakouts give students choice and exposure to trusted pastors from all seven partner churches. From the gym that keeps energy high to the fellowship hall that keeps meals simple, the Longview setting frees us to focus on what matters most—time in Scripture and time with each other.

Beyond the event, we share a tool you can use every day: the Sword Method of Bible study. Ask what the passage teaches about God, what it reveals about people, and where it calls you to avoid sin, obey commands, or follow examples. It’s a simple framework that echoes the Bereans of Acts 17, who received the message eagerly and examined the Scriptures daily. Pair that with our church reading plan and The Bible Recap on YouVersion to build a habit that lasts. Ready to grow deeper and help a student do the same?
