What does true freedom look like? Pastor Grant examines Saul's conversion in Acts 9 to show that biblical freedom isn't independence but rather complete dependence on our Creator.
• Freedom is being freed from sin to fulfill God's purpose for our lives
• Before conversion, everyone who doesn't follow God is an enemy of God (Romans 8:7-8)
• Jesus calls us personally by name, just as He called Saul on the Damascus road
• Conviction of sin leads to conversion, but not all conversions look like Saul's dramatic experience
• Evidence of conversion includes obedience, being filled with the Spirit, and fulfilling your purpose
• Saul was immediately transformed from persecutor to proclaimer of Jesus
• We don't need to "get our life together" before coming to Christ - He saves us while we're still sinners
