Louisiana native Keonte' Herrera joined LSU as an Assistant Communications Director in September 2021 as the primary contact for softball and volleyball. Prior to his return to his home state, Herrera covered six championship runs between volleyball, track and field, and men’s basketball at Texas State in his two and a half years in San Marcos. Herrera has also worked with Division II programs Texas A&M - Commerce, Texas A&M - Kingsville, and St. Edward’s University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Southeast Louisiana in 2014 and his M.Ed. in Coaching, Sport, Recreation, and Fitness Administration from Angelo State University.Herrera has a great softball resource in his household, as his wife Priscilla (Velasquez) Herrera was a four-year softball letterman and Conference-USA MVP at East Carolina University.He joins CoSIDA intern Brandon Jones for a podcast conversation in as part of the Through My Lens series.
