Description

After the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus returned to the northern region of Galilee: this time to the town of Capernaum, which became the hub of most of His Galilean ministry. From there Matthew records the first elements of the public ministry of Jesus, the first calling of disciples, and also, a summary of the first responses of the people to Jesus.

What issues were so important that Jesus had to include them in His first bit of preaching? What kinds of people did Jesus choose to call as His first disciples? How did people first respond to the real Jesus of history? What does all of this tell us about who Jesus really was and is?

Join Pastor Jim as he helps us explore answers to these and other questions that arise from our study of the last half of Matthew 4.
