The Christmas season is just around the corner. We will gather with loved ones, sing carols, light candles, and be reminded over and over again of the mystery of God becoming one of us. How can this impact real life? Is there any real hope for the broken-hearted, for those chronically disappointed, for those crippled by darkness and despair? We believe there is and that if there is, this is a hope that will have to be based upon something more than mere nostalgia, humanistic sentimentality, or holiday romanticism.
In some streams of the church the last Sunday before the Advent season officially begins is called “Stir Up Sunday” or “Christ the King Sunday”. Join Pastor Jim as he points us to the cause every believer has for unassailable peace and unshakeable joy, found only in union with Christ.
