Description

Perfectionism can look like professionalism, until your body starts sending louder messages.

We sit down with Marie Dove, an embodiment coach and nature-based practitioner, to talk about what happens when you are the one “holding it all together” and chronic migraines force you to slow down. The conversation is honest about the behind-the-scenes reality of supporting others: the self-doubt after sessions, the pressure to get it right, and the quiet fear that vulnerability will make us seem less capable.

We dig into embodiment coaching, somatic experiencing, and nervous system regulation in plain language. Marie shares how learning to be with discomfort gently, without shaming it and without trying to “fix” it on command, changes everything. We also explore emotional safety in women’s circles, and why it is often our authenticity, not our expertise, that helps others soften and open.

From there we move into nature as a co-regulator, the role of movement and micro breaks in a stress-heavy world, and the return of playfulness and voice, including the very relatable “chanting shame” moment. If you have ever felt stuck in fight or flight, burnt out in caring roles, or tired of the endless self-improvement loop, this one offers grounded relief and practical perspective.

If it resonates, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs permission to soften, and leave a review so more people can find the path back to enoughness.
