Everybody’s chasing status, attention, and recognition, and it’s exhausting. Today I slow things down and go back to a kingdom truth that cuts through the noise: real greatness looks like love that serves. Using Galatians 5:13, I talk about the freedom we’ve been given and why it’s not meant to feed the flesh or build an image, but to “by love serve one another.” That one line challenges the way we measure success and invites a simpler, stronger way to live.

I also reflect on Jesus Himself, the King of Glory, choosing to pick up a towel and wash His disciples’ feet. That moment is a blueprint for servant leadership and everyday discipleship. He doesn’t serve from weakness or insecurity. He serves from strength, purpose, and love. And that’s the heart of what I’m after here: serving others with joy, not with guilt, not with pressure, and not to impress anyone.

We get practical with small, doable ideas you can use today: listening when someone needs to talk, helping a co-worker with something that benefits them, volunteering without needing a stage, and doing what needs to be done even when no one says thank you. I also lean on Colossians and the reminder to work “as unto the Lord,” because it turns unseen kindness into holy work. God sees it, honors it, and uses it in ways you may never fully track.
