Description

Canada just lost 108,000 full-time jobs in February, and at the same time a controversial Al-Quds rally in Toronto is raising serious questions about national security and extremist influence in Canada.

In this episode of Political Orphans, we examine whether Canada is losing control of both its economy and its borders.

According to Statistics Canada, the country lost 84,000 total jobs, including 108,000 full-time jobs, while only 24,000 part-time jobs were created. Many of the hardest-hit sectors include manufacturing, construction, professional services, and retail, raising serious concerns about the future of the Canadian economy.

At the same time, a viral video circulating online has raised questions about whether a Shia cleric allegedly linked to Iran may have attended the Al-Quds rally in Toronto. While the identity of the individual has not been officially confirmed, the controversy comes as a House of Commons report warns that over 700 individuals linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) may be living in Canada.

Meanwhile, the federal government continues expanding public sector hiring while the private sector and self-employed Canadians are losing jobs and paying higher taxes.

In tonight’s discussion we break down:

• The Canada jobs report and what the loss of 108,000 full-time jobs really means

• The controversy surrounding the Al-Quds rally in Toronto

• Concerns about IRGC presence in Canada

• The widening gap between government expansion and private sector decline

• What these trends mean for the future of Canada

Are these isolated issues — or signs of a country heading in the wrong direction?
