Send us your questions and reflections!
On Day 8 of our Advent journey, we enter one of the most moving scenes in the story of Joseph. Judah—the brother who once sold Joseph into slavery—now steps forward and offers himself as a substitute for Benjamin. It is a stunning revelation of how deeply God has transformed him over years of hardship, waiting, and grace.
This episode explores the theme: Waiting well means trusting God to transform hearts over time. Judah’s life shows that God can reshape even the most stubborn and broken parts of us, often slowly and quietly, in the midst of difficult circumstances. His willingness to take Benjamin’s place reveals a heart renewed by compassion, responsibility, and love—a miracle only God could accomplish.
We then trace this moment forward to its fulfillment in Jesus, the true and greater Judah. As the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5), Jesus offers Himself not just for one brother, but for the world. His sacrificial love brings God’s children safely home to the Father and completes the pattern Judah only began to reveal.
This episode invites listeners to reflect on the slow work of grace in their own lives and to trust God with the ongoing work He is doing in the hearts of others. Waiting well means believing that God is not finished—and that transformation, though often hidden and gradual, is always possible in the hands of the Redeemer.
