In the final part of the “Dear Church” series, the focus is on the practical application of deep theological truths in everyday life.
1. The reality of chaotic darkness
It wasn’t always supposed to be this way. The reality of the chaotic darkness was never the plan. In fact, God had a much different idea in mind for how we were supposed to experience life and relationships. Humans made a choice to believe the Deceiver instead of the Creator. This changed everything and cast all of creation into chaos.
2. The reality of our own chaos
We don’t just see this chaotic darkness at work in nations, politics, and natural disasters. We see this darkness in each of our own hearts. No matter how educated, enlightened, religious, and politically active we become, we can never drive this darkness out of our own hearts.
3. The reality of Christmas
To understand Christmas is to understand the Gospel. The beautiful reality is that the Light has dawned and it has dawned for you and for me. We are invited to worship, receive, and share this light with others. The Light has come and we can join in with all of creation, rejoicing in this new reality!
